The Ottawa Tamil Association proudly recognized Wakisan Mathiyaparanam (வாகீசன் மதியாபரணம்), Retired Master Corporal of the Canadian Armed Forces, for his outstanding contribution to public service.
With nearly three decades of service across Canada and United Nations peacekeeping missions, and as a recipient of the Member of the Order of Military Merit, his dedication reflects the highest values of integrity, courage, and excellence. Beyond his military career, he continues to inspire Tamil youth and strengthen our community.
The recognition was presented by Professor Siva Sivathayalan on behalf of the Ottawa Tamil Association.
